National Park Village Plan and Achievements

Following the major investment by Council in installing the water supply and sewage systems in 1985 the next sizable investment was the National Park Village Park & Ride in 2017. Also of significant benefit to the community was the building of the Roy Turner Memorial Playground.

More progress was enabled with the Mainstreet Programme which saw footpaths along SH4, decorative street lighting in Carroll Street some verge smoothing to enable grass mowing maintenance and swale drain sumps in Mackenzie Street.

Progress after that has been through the development of the National Park Village Strategy of 1999 and its iterations through to the National Park Village Plan of 2020 and many submissions to RDC Annual Plan & Long Term Plans by NPVPA & NPVBA and other initiatives.
